Branscombe Beach Wedding

Photography by Rosie Anderson

There were just so many things that I loved about Andy and Lauras beach wedding its hard to know where to begin. Whilst of course they put together a beautiful wedding, what really made this day so special was the people. Andy and Laura got married in June at Branscombe village hall in Devon – Laura arrived in style in a red Nissan Micra looking beautiful in her dress that she bought at Oxfam online. The Humanist service was one of the most meaningful thoughtful weddings I have had the pleasure of attending so far. Grandparents, Parents, family and friends all offered something to the service from words of advice to songs. Lauras dad played piano whilst her mum and siblings sang a song that they had written especially for them! But probably my favourite part was when the whole congregation sang Elton Johns ‘My Song!’ at the top of their voices – Maybe you had to be there, but honestly it really was quite amazing! As they guests came out of the service they were treated to icecreams and made the ten minute walk to the reception at Branscombe Beach. There were so many lovely homemade touches to this wedding and at the heart of it a really lovely couple. As the sun set over this Branscombe beach wedding I felt really lucky to be part of it.
